Program Objective:
The goal of the Occupational Health and Safety Program is to minimize health problems faced by workers in production and industrial sectors while ensuring that all manufacturing and production processes are carried out effectively and efficiently. The program aims to:

  • Create a healthy and safe work environment,
  • Eliminate hazards at their source,
  • Enable employees to focus on their tasks and provide quality service in a safe environment,
  • Minimize legal, moral, and financial responsibilities arising from workplace accidents and increase the profitability of businesses.

Through this program, the aim is to train personnel required for occupational safety in industrial organizations. Graduates will be equipped to work as "Occupational Health and Safety Technicians" who can:

  • Ensure workplace safety management, maintain health and safety records, and oversee monitoring systems,
  • Follow and implement legal procedures related to all disaster-based emergencies,
  • Provide consultancy services in communication and organization with professional emergency organizations and neighboring establishments,
  • Conduct risk analyses, propose solutions, and carry out related planning and budgeting,
  • Develop knowledge in planning and managing environmental safety.

Duration of Education:
The Occupational Health and Safety Program is a two-year program. Students can pursue bachelor's degree programs in relevant fields without an exam through Open Education Faculty or by passing transfer exams to other faculties. Graduates earn the title of "Professional Staff."


Titles and Jobs Earned by Graduates:
Graduates of the associate degree program in Occupational Health and Safety receive an "Associate Degree Diploma" and the title of "Occupational Safety Professional." They can work in public and private sector institutions and organizations in managerial positions related to their skills.
