Sütçüler Vocational School, affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University Rectorate, was established following the decision of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education on March 17, 1994, under Articles 7/d-2 and 7/h of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880.
In the 1994-1995 academic year, the school began education at the Isparta central campus with 40 students in the Forest Products Program of the Technical Programs Department and 40 students in the Accounting Program of the Economic and Administrative Programs Department. The school was relocated to the Sütçüler district on September 28, 1996.
The Forest Products Program under the Technical Programs Department was renamed the Forest Industry Technicians Program in the 1995-1996 academic year and later changed to the Furniture and Decoration Program in the 1999-2000 academic year.
In the 1998-1999 academic year, the Business Program was introduced under the Economic and Administrative Programs Department. In the 2005-2006 academic year, the Hunting and Wildlife and Non-Wood Forest Products Programs were opened under the Technical Programs Department, each with a capacity of 20 students. These programs were renamed Hunting and Wildlife and Forestry and Forest Products in the 2009-2010 academic year.
To honor the founding Rector of Süleyman Demirel University, the late Prof. Dr. Hasan Gürbüz, the school's name was changed to Sütçüler Prof. Dr. Hasan Gürbüz Vocational School following the decision of the Higher Education General Assembly on April 7, 2005, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, the Logistics Program under the Department of Management and Organization, the Finance Program under the Department of Finance, Banking, and Insurance, and the Occupational Health and Safety Program under the Department of Property Protection and Security were launched, each with a capacity of 30 students.
The Furniture and Decoration Program under the Department of Material and Material Processing Technologies was transferred to Keçiborlu Vocational School starting from the Fall semester of the 2016-2017 academic year, as per the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board on March 16, 2016.
Currently, the Vocational School offers education in the Finance, Logistics, Occupational Health and Safety, Forestry and Forest Products, and Hunting and Wildlife Programs. Additionally, the Ecotourism Program under the Department of Hotel-Restaurant and Catering Services was introduced in 2013, the Postal Services Program under the Department of Transportation Services in 2017, and the Emergency and Disaster Management Program under the Department of Property Protection and Security in 2018. These programs are planned to become operational in the coming years. The school was affiliated with Isparta University of Applied Sciences following the enactment of Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette on May 18, 2018.
The Vocational School covers an area of 11,430 m², with 3,226 m² of closed space. The school building consists of a ground floor, a first floor, and a second floor. The ground floor houses the boiler room, library, conference hall, dining hall, student cafeteria, and prayer room. The first floor includes amphitheaters, classrooms, a technical service room, and a computer laboratory. The second floor accommodates administrative and academic offices and classrooms.
The school staff comprises four faculty members, 14 lecturers (a total of 18 academic staff), eight administrative personnel, four security officers, and two cleaning staff.
